Since the formation of “The Snowman” group, the great energy and enthusiasm of its members became evident. There was a great need to organize something attractive to spread the love for winter sports, particularly among the youth.

On January 31st of 2005, the first members of The Snowman organization decided to organize a mini event on the forest of the Prishtina Park, Germija. Members such as Dennis, Burim, Dreni and others built a small jump from the snow, and started jumping off it with skis and boards. Snownjeri, the snow photographer fanatic, took many photos of this event, which for sure will enter the history as Kosovo’s first freestyle jumping event. See the photos….

On March 12 2005, a mini freestyle jumping event was held in Brezovica. A large number of participants took place. For the first time, “freestylers” from all over Kosova gathered and jumped off a big jump. It was a nice occasion to see different styles of ski/board jumps and air spins, performed by the first Snowman members. See the photos…..

One year later, on February 18th 2006, some of the Snowman members organized a first proper freestyle jumping event called “Jump to the maxx ‘06!” Around 60 participants, skiers and boarders registered to enter the competition that will enter the history, as the very first, proper winter freestyle jumping tournament to ever be held in Kosova.
A large number of spectators and media representatives witnessed the event that was held for male and female skiers and boarders. At the end, diplomas, cups and some prizes were given away to the champions in all categories. See the photos….

In addition to the many daytime on-mountain activities such events and tournaments, the last 4 years have seen these events supplemented by evening parties which were organized in different locations of Brezovica and other ski centers. See the photos….

On February 10th 2007, because the lifts were not working due to a harsh weather conditions in Brezovica (strong winds and snow), around 50 skiers and boarders made a big jump that made their day. For around 3 hour’s non-stop, a lot of the “freestylers” showed their skills by spinning off the jump. A lot of brave females had a chance to compete along their fellow male snow extremists. That day alone, some 500 photos were taken, some of which are displayed in the Snowman web page www.njeri.net. See the photos…

On May 11th 2007, with the help of the “Center of modern arts – The station” in Prishtina, The Snowman organized his personal photo exhibition called “The best of Snownjeri.” The Snowman displayed only approximately 80 of his favorite photos from his huge photo archive numbering some 60,000 photos from Brezovica. Most of the photos were taken between 2003 and 2007. The Snowman exhibition lasted 1 month, and on the opening day was marked by a kick-off party. A lot of snow lovers attended the grand opening, where they could enjoy a video displaying the best snow clips on the wall, house music was rocking the crowd, wine and strawberries were served, and around 200 guests had maxx fun. In beginning of June 2007, the privatization director at the Pillar 4 UNMIK in Kosova, ski fanatic Mr. Kirk Adams, organized a movie premiere for his short film “Just a Ride” which featured skiing in Brezovica. His short film was sponsored by himself and shows a parallel between the life in the ski slopes and the cities of Kosova. The movie was shown to audience at ABC cinema in Prishtina, where a large number of ski lovers came to see it.
For the warm up prior to playing the movie, around 200 best Snowman photos where displayed.
This was the last activity of 2006/2007 ski season by “Snowman”.
